Registration for memberships and swim lessons open up on our website on Sunday February 15th.
We are open 7 days a week 1230pm to 8pm.
Swim Lessons (Ages 3 years old to Adult) - $175 - one on one lessons with a swim instructor tailored directly to your needs. Most lessons are Monday thru Friday at the same time, each of the 5 lessons is a 30 minute lesson usually with the same instructor all week. We do have some 3 day a week lessons for $105. We also have our, 2 times a week for 6 week, Learn to Swim with Adult lessons for 9 month old up to 3 years old for $175.
If you become a member at the Red Hook Pool you can bring a guest for $10 per person per day or a 10 pack of guest passes for $75. If you would like to try the Red Hook Pool, come by the last 2 weeks in June for our community days which are only $5 - $10 per person. Once our season begins you can get an individual (2 visit) trial membership for $50 or a Family (3 or more person) Trial (2 visit) for $150. If you then decide to become a member that trial membership is deducted from the cost of your membership.
The Red Hook Pool is open to ALL people regardless of residency. For similar pools in the local area (within 30 minutes) that do NOT receive TAXPAYER FUNDING the average single membership for these other pools is $765 and the average family membership is $1,365 for the season for these other pools. At the Red Hook Pool, even as costs increase we are trying to be a cost effective option for anyone looking to take part in all the fun the pool has to offer. The Red Hook Pool does NOT require any volunteer hours put in by members, which many other pools do. The average annual cost to maintain a pool at your home in NY varies but is on average between $3,000 to $6,000 per year for maintenance, chemicals, water, electricity and opening/closing costs.
The Red Hook Pool costs are increasing. Labor alone has gone up a ton. The rise of minimum wage which increased again this year. Just 10 years ago minimum wage was $9.70 and now its up to $16 in 2026. In 2013, minimum wage was only $7.25 - now its over double that amount. With about 8,000 employee hours during the summer, that's at least an $8,000 increase in cost for every dollar that minimum wage goes up.
The point being made is that costs are increasing and the Red Hook Pool Board is doing their absolute best to keep the costs for members as low as possible. Most of our memberships, stayed the same, some even decreased and a few have gone up a little bit. We know that every person or family who becomes a member and invests their hard earned money in the Red Hook Pool for their seasonal membership is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. If you got a membership in the past, THANK YOU! It is a sacrifice and a choice that individuals and families make to get a membership or lessons. From our board, directors and lifeguards, thank you for making that choice. If this year, the Red Hook Pool is not in the cards for you and your family - thank you for coming in the past and we hope to see you again soon!!!!
